NA’AMAT USA is pleased to announce the

2016 Tikkun Olam Award
Lauren B. Rock

Celebrating NA’AMAT USA’s 90th Anniversary and the 2016 Tikkun Olam Award

Enhancing the status of women, children and families in Israel and the United States since 1925.

It is with a great deal of pleasure that we announce that the Cleveland Council of NA’AMAT USA will pay tribute and honor to Lauren B. Rock with our 2016 Tikkun Olam Award this spring. Tikkun Olam….The repairing of the world. The Tikkun Olam Award is given to the individual whose activities exemplify care and actions that benefit the welfare of humanity.

Lauren Rock capped a life-long career in health care and senior services when she recently retired as president and CEO of Montefiore, a senior healthcare facility in Beachwood. She has demonstrated vision and compassion throughout her work in the community and through numerous health facilities, bettering the lives of all touched by her accomplishments. Her dedication and care is consistent with NA’AMAT’s vision of a better life for every American and Israeli citizen.

NA’AMAT’s 90th Anniversary Project is the establishment of a much needed Women’s Health Center in Sderot in the Western Negev. Funds raised by this event will go to the building and staffing of this center. Sderot has been a target of ongoing rocket attacks from Gaza since 2001. Women in Sderot and surrounding kibbutzim are often preoccupied with the welfare of their families and are not able to seek preventative health care outside of the community for themselves. The quality of life will improve greatly for the women and their families with the addition of this center.
