NA’AMAT WOMAN WINS THREE FIRST-PLACE ROCKOWER AWARDS
The Rockower Awards were presented by the American Jewish Press Association at its annual conference held in Dallas in June 2011. The Simon Rockower Awards honor the best Jewish journalism published in 2010. NA’AMAT Woman competed with newspapers with more than 15,000 circulation and all magazines.
“We are extremely gratified by these awards, as they reflect the excellent articles and illustrations published continually by the magazine,” said editor Judith Sokoloff.
NA’AMAT Woman magazine won the first-place awards in the following categories:

NA’AMAT WOMAN MAGAZINE WINS JOURNALISM AWARDS
NA’AMAT Woman, is a quarterly magazine covering a wide spectrum of topics about Jewish life, culture and issues in the United States and Israel. Sent to all NA’AMAT USA members, the attractive magazine offers engaging articles, stories, personal essays and book reviews.
NA’AMAT Woman won this year’s first place Simon Rockower Award for Excellence in Writing About Women with the article “Talking with Deborah Tannen” by Rachel Musleah (see the Winter 2008 issue). We are honored to be recognized by the American Jewish Press Association for this thought-provoking article,” said editor Judith Sokoloff.
