Hagit Pe'er: Caring for Women and Children in the Negev


Hagit Pe’er is the chairperson of NA’AMAT in the Negev Region. She oversees 14 day care centers, two targeting at-risk youth, as well as a women’s rights center that provides legal counseling and other services to more than 1,300 women and families each year.

HagitPeerPe’er joined NA’AMAT in 2011. Previously, she was a product specialist with a telecommunications company with expertise in security services. In her current role, she applies her technical and managerial skills to the challenges of caring for and educating young children, and helping women overcome poverty, workplace and family issues.

NA’AMAT USA to Send Delegation to International Conference in Israel

US delegates will be honored as guests of Israel’s president at opening session and later attend groundbreaking ceremonies for a new day care center.

NA’AMAT USA will send a delegation of more than 30 members to the annual NA’AMAT International Conference scheduled for February 10-16 in Israel. The delegation will be led by national president Elizabeth Raider and will include national officers and representatives from chapters across the United States. The NA’AMAT USA delegation will be honored as special guests of the President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, during the conference’s opening session on February 10. Raider will address the group on behalf of NA’AMAT USA and 8 sister countries.

Founded in 1925, NA’AMAT USA (originally named Pioneer Women) has a rich and storied history. Over the course of many decades, it has been instrumental in helping to create, build, and sustain the State of Israel.

The 4 days were energizing, informative, interesting and a chance to meet with NA’AMAT USA members from around the country as well as NA’AMAT leaders from Israel, Brazil and Canada.
